Directs the senior leadership team and is responsible for all aspects of the management of the Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR). The Directorate provides research-based national leadership in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning and education. EHR consists of four divisions: Undergraduate Education, Graduate Education, Human Resource Development, and Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings. The Assistant Director provides leadership and direction to the Directorate's senior managers and a staff of approximately 150.
The Assistant Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating EHR programs and operations and serves as the principal advisor to the NSF Director, Deputy Director and other agency management officials in matters related to STEM learning and education.
