Tenure-Track and Limited-Term Faculty Positions

Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science
The Department invites applications from outstanding candidates for one tenure-track and one limited-term faculty positions, at the Assistant Professor level, effective July 1, 2011, subject to final budgetary approval. The focus of this search is in any of the following fields: Biophotonics, Molecular Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and Computational Physics. The successful candidates must possess an earned doctorate in Physics or a related field, and demonstrate excellence in research and teaching.
The Department of Physics offers an undergraduate degree in Medical Physics and master's and doctoral degrees in the field of Biomedical Physics. The Department has 14 full-time faculty, 5 post-doctoral fellows, 23 graduate students, and 6 staff members. The Department has a core group of scientists who have secured substantial external peer-reviewed funding for cutting-edge research in Medical Physics/Biomedical Engineering. Our faculty members collaborate extensively with the surrounding biomedical community in what the City of Toronto has designated as the Discovery District, home to 7 world-renowned hospitals and more than 30 specialized medical and related sciences centres.
