Adjunct Instructor for Physics The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for an adjunct faculty instructor to teach Conceptual Physics and associated labs (PHYS1210) in the Spring semester of 2011. UNT Dallas – the first public institution of higher education in the city – offers faculty the unique opportunity to help shape the character of a 21st century, learner-focused, urban comprehensive university.

The adjunct instructor is responsible for teaching a 3-credit hour course – Conceptual Physics and associated labs – in the Spring of 2011. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching and student success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Master’s degree in physics with at least 18 graduate credit hours in physics.
* Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ph.D. in physics or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience teaching college level physics.
* Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff and faculty.
