Postdoc at University of Edinburgh

A fixed-term 1 year 0.5 FTE postdoctoral position is available in the School of Physics and Astronomy (part of the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance, SUPA).

We seek an applicant to help deliver our goals under the Project Juno, an equality and diversity scheme administered by the Institute of Physics. The aim of Juno is to recognise and reward departments that can demonstrate they have taken action to address the under-representation of women in university physics and to encourage better practice for both women and men. The School of Physics and Astronomy currently holds "Practitioner" status.


You will perform a mix of qualitative and quantitative research to investigate the experience of our Early Career Researchers (PhD students and PDRAs) and academic staff. You should have a PhD in Physics or a related physical science discipline, a track record of research in Physics education, and an interest in issues that affect the recruitment, performance and retention of women in Physics.

Salary Scale: £30,122 - £35,938 pa (pro rata for 17.5 hours/week)
