TT at Montana State

The Department of Physics at Montana State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will begin on January 1, 2013. We seek an exceptional teacher who will primarily teach lower-division classes in physics and astronomy, and make significant contributions to our undergraduate instructional program. The successful candidate will also mentor graduate students in teaching, and develop an independent research program that complements departmental research interests. Required: Ph.D in Physics or a closely related field; Demonstrated ability to successfully teach undergraduate physics courses; Evidence of potential to conduct independent research.
