TT at Houghton College
Physics or Applied/Engineering Physics: Assistant or Associate Professor
Full time. Tenure track. Fall 2013.
Teach and develop curricula for introductory and advanced undergraduate physics courses. Assist in teaching one or more physics-related general education courses for non-majors. An option to teach courses in conjunction with the computer science department is also possible.
NOTES: Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Faculty salary and rank commensurate with education and experience.
Additional Information
Ph.D. in physics, applied physics or engineering physics is required, with a program of research suitable for undergraduate participation and which includes the development of external research collaborations. Must possess outstanding creative, interpersonal and leadership skills, provide evidence of teaching excellence in all levels of undergraduate physics, including labs and courses for non-majors, and have a strong commitment to the Christian faith.
Candidates with experience in an engineering or industrial environment in fields which complement those already represented in the department are especially welcome.
