The Department of Physics in the College of Science, Health & Engineering at Eastern Washington University invites applications to fill a non-tenure-track lecturer position to begin September 2013. The Department of Physics offers BA and BS degrees in Physics as well as a BAE degree for physics teachers.
Responsibilities will include teaching physical science, introductory physics and/or general physics and their related laboratory courses. Other teaching assignments will depend on departmental needs and applicant expertise.
Position is open until further notice. Since this position begins 9/16/2013, screening of applications will begin August 1st and will continue at least through mid-August. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Physics - must be completed no later than the position start date (September 16, 2013)
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching; preference may be given to candidates who offer experience in teaching college level physics courses
Additionally, candidates must offer ability, experience and/or interest in promoting cultural competency and/or diversity
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Physics.
