The Department of physics and Astronomy at Millikin University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor of Physics beginning August 2016, with the possibility of a renewable appointment. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in physics or related; ABD considered.
Responsibilities for the 2016-2017 academic year included teaching a two-semester sequence of lecture and concurrent laboratory sections of introductory physics (algebra-based) and a two-semester sequence on experimental physics, with emphasis on building electronic circuits and using LabVIEW. Candidates with experience in these areas of experimental physics will receive the most serious consideration.
