Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor will perform day-to-day operations of the instructional programs in STEM related disciplines including physics, engineering, physical science, engineering technology, or math. FT at Garden City Community College

This is a full-time, 172-day contract position under the direction of the Dean of Academics. The primary assignment is to provide instructional services and learning facilitation for students in the Science Division by offering a variety of physics and/or related courses.

Job description:
The successful candidate will take a leading role in the redesign and evaluation of the physics labs in two introductory calculus-based course sequences (engineering and honors). They will work with a faculty committee to develop and refine learning goals and associated lab activities. They will also work with Dr. Holmes and student researchers to assess the program through development, implementation, and analysis of surveys and other assessments, interviews, focus groups, and in-lab observations.
