Faculty-Teacher Education (Math or Science)
Applicants must have
- an earned doctorate degree with specialization in mathematics education or science education from an accredited university
- successful experience as a public school teacher
- evidence of promise of successful university teaching with undergraduate students
- commitment to collaboration with colleagues, other university faculty members, and public school personnel
- evidence of, and commitment to, research and publication in professional, peer-reviewed venues
- evidence of ability to supervise and mentor preservice and inservice teachers
- active involvement in state, regional, and national professional organizations
- commitment to using and applying appropriate computer- centered technologies in teaching and learning
- understanding and commitment to the moral dimensions of teaching
