The School of Education, Teaching and Health in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Teacher Education, with a Science Focus, and a start date of fall 2009. Qualified candidates will have a doctorate, at least three years of K-12 teaching, and experience in higher education teaching. Training in qualitative and quantitative evaluation is desired. Evidence of scholarly ability and potential is required. Expertise related to working with diverse learners and issues of social justice and equity, and experience with new technologies is highly desirable.
