Minimum requirements are as follows:
1) Ph.D. in Physics or closely related discipline
2) Evidence of high quality teaching in an undergraduate physics program
3) Record of published research and promise of future productivity
Preference will be given to the candidate who has previous teaching experience in undergraduate physics courses beyond laboratory instruction. Post doctoral experience is desirable, but not required. Duties include teaching a wide range of physics courses and advising students; developing a research program involving undergraduate students that leads to refereed publications along with securing the necessary resources for that program; performing professional service at the department, college, and university levels including student recruitment.
