The Faculty of Science invites applications for a tenure-stream or tenured position in Physics at any rank. This position is subject to budgetary approval, and would start at a mutually agreeable time but not later than July 2011. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct active and innovative research programs and to teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. In keeping with a technology-enhanced learning environment utilizing laptop computers and wireless connectivity, UOIT seeks faculty who strive to explore and develop new pedagogies. Applicants with research expertise in the area of experimental materials physics are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Physics or a related area, a strong academic background, and a record of excellence in research.
The Faculty of Science offers an Honours Bachelor of Science degree program in Physics, including Medical Physics, Forensic Physics and Energy and the Environment specializations.
