Arkansas State University is recruiting applications for two tenure track faculty positions in the Department of Chemistry and Physics commencing August 2011. A Ph.D. in physics is required, and post-doctoral research or professional experience is desired. Preference will be given to an appointment at the Assistant Professor level but applicants with outstanding credentials may be considered at higher ranks.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the educational mission of the Department and to develop an independent and externally funded research program. He or she will teach introductory and advanced courses in physics and supervise undergraduate research. We welcome applications from candidates whose research activities will contribute to the ongoing interdisciplinary research within the Department and College.
