Lynchburg College invites applicants for a one-year sabbatical replacement position in Physics beginning Fall 2015. A PhD in physics (or closely related area) is required. No particular research area is required. Primary responsibilities will be teaching physics at all undergraduate levels. Current physics research focuses on computational modeling, physics of sports, experimental condensed matter physics, and astrophysics associated with small solar system bodies like asteroids and comets. The selected candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the College.
