Associate Clinical Professor and Program Director - Science of Instruction (Teaching Certificate) at Drexel University
Position Location: Drexel University - Center for Graduate Studies, One Capitol Mall, Suite 260, Sacramento, CA 95814

Posting Summary: The successful candidate will serve in a dual role. One role is to function as the Associate Program Director for the development of Drexel University's highly successful Science of Instruction (INST) Masters of Science degree program under the direction and collaboration of the Director of Teacher Certification Programs and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Education within Goodwin College of Professional Studies. The second role is to serve as an Associate Clinical Professor to teach blended courses, both online and face-to-face, in the INST programs at the Drexel University Center for Graduate Studies located in downtown Sacramento, CA.

It is planned that the successful candidate for this full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track appointment, will be assigned 50% of their time, (the annual equivalent teaching load of 24 credits) to teach in the program and with 50% of their duties dedicated to the development of the INST program in Sacramento.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have earned a doctoral degree in the relevant area or a related field as well as California teacher certification. Desirable teaching qualifications include: evidence of excellence in teaching, excellent verbal and written communication skills, interest in a highly collaborative faculty environment, experience in and enthusiasm to teach both face to face and online, and experience in curriculum planning.
