Join a new program to develop an open source integrated online learning environment that integrates short learning modules, cognitively categorized homework, links to chosen external simulations, and coupled in-class activities like peer instruction. The Department of Physics at Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in the Fall of 2011. The applicant must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, particularly in the area of engineering physics. Research Fellowship at Jesus College

The Fellowship is intended for researchers early in their careers. Successful candidates are expected to be either graduate students, probably in the latter stages of their research leading to a PhD Degree, or post-doctoral researchers who have recently been awarded their PhD Degree. Candidates who have undertaken more than four years of full-time research are unlikely to be considered.

Junior Research Fellowships at various colleges at Oxford

The Governing Bodies of the three colleges propose to elect in co-operation up to eleven Junior Research Fellows, in Arts and Science, according to an agreed allocation of subjects between the colleges. The current salary is £20,938. The fellowships are tenable either from 1st October 2011 or, exceptionally, from 1st September 2011.

Research Fellows are expected to undertake original research in some branch of arts, science or education. They may, with the permission of the appropriate Governing Body, undertake a limited amount of teaching. Depending upon their field of study, successful candidates will be based at one of Christ Church, Merton College or St John’s College.
