TT at Utica College

Applicants are invited for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2011. We are seeking candidates with broad intellectual interests, an obvious enthusiasm and talent for undergraduate teaching, and the ability to involve undergraduates in scholarly research in any field of physics or astronomy but especially in an experimental area. Successful candidates must be committed to creative undergraduate teaching of both physics and pre-engineering courses, with a demonstrated ability to teach effectively to students possessing a variety of interests and backgrounds. Ability to teach Astronomy would be particularly welcome.

To ensure consideration, candidates should submit a letter of application including a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching interests and philosophy, a statement of research plans and goals, and three letters of recommendation to John H.
