Professorship at Indiana Wesleyan University

Indiana Wesleyan University’s College of Arts and Sciences Department of Physics invites applications for a faculty appointment in Physics beginning in August, 2011. If qualified, the successful candidate will occupy the Blanchard Endowed Chair, which carries with it financial support and release time from teaching to encourage a vibrant research program with undergraduate students.
Applicant may teach a range of undergraduate physics, physical science, astronomy, and electronics courses. The successful candidate will combine the ability to communicate effectively in the classroom and laboratory. We seek a candidate who is committed to building and sustaining an active program of undergraduate research. Areas of particular interest include biophysics, optics, instrumentation, environmental science and computational physics. The prospective faculty member should be willing to work collaboratively as part of a vibrant School of the Physical and Applied Sciences of 36 full time faculty members. Especially welcome are applications from those who bring diverse ethnic, racial, and international perspectives to their teaching, scholarship, and Christian faith.
