TT or non-TT at Oregon Institute of Technology

The Natural Sciences Department at Oregon Institute of Technology seeks candidates for a full-time, nine month position as Assistant Professor of Physics, with the possibility for tenure track depending on qualifications. This position starts September 2011. A substantial part of the teaching load will involve teaching introductory physics for students in biology, environmental sciences, renewable energy, engineering and medical imaging majors. Experience and/or interest in interdisciplinary or applied physics are desirable.
Qualifications: Master’s or doctoral (preferred) degree in physics or related field. Teaching or research experience desirable. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to undergraduate students. This announcement will remain open until filled.
