Professorship at James Madison University

James Madison University (JMU) seeks a coordinator for its nationally recognized Mathematics and Science area of General Education. We seek a candidate with a deep commitment to academic excellence and liberal education that can lead our well established interdisciplinary program to further success.

Principal Duties: The Coordinator will work as both a faculty member and administrator. The Coordinator will teach and be tenurable in her or his academic discipline. Administrative duties include guiding faculty and curriculum development, overseeing assessment of student learning at the program level, advising students and serving as a member of the University Studies program staff. Desired Qualifications: Candidates will hold a terminal degree and have a distinguished record of teaching, research, and university service appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Candidates should be able to provide evidence of creative leadership and management abilities and demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary cooperation and liberal education.
