The Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time tenured or tenure track faculty position in Physics Education Research beginning as early as August 16, 2019. Appointments at the Assistant Professor level will be given preference, but appointments at a higher level will be considered for exceptionally well-qualified candidates. A Ph.D., or equivalent, is required, along with the ability to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels and to conduct a vigorous and significant research program. Ideal candidates include those who demonstrate evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through research, teaching, and/or service endeavors. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications. 

Qualified senior candidates may also be considered for tenured full Professor positions as part of the Grainger Engineering Breakthroughs Initiative. Over the next few years, more than 35 new endowed professorships and chairs will be established. San Jose State University Department of Physics and Astronomy will likely be making a new tenure-track hire in the area of Physics Education Research. Candidates with a research or service experience in introductory course design and evaluation are especially encouraged to apply. TT at King's College, PA

King's College seeks an Assistant Professor of Physics. This tenure track position begins fall 2014 and will be responsible for teaching introductory and advanced physics courses and will occasionally teach general education courses as a part of the College's core curriculum. Interested candidates should be committed to teaching at an institution where the liberal arts are emphasized, be prepared to develop a research program suitable for the inclusion of undergraduate science majors, and be committed to growing our new physics major and 3+2 Engineering program. A Ph.D. in a related discipline is required by fall 2014; prior postdoctoral or college teaching experience is beneficial. The successful candidate will also support the Holy Cross Mission and Catholic identity of the College.
