Two TT at Univ. of North Florida

The University of North Florida Department of Physics is seeking candidates for two tenure-track assistant professor of physics positions to start in August 2011. A Ph.D. in experimental physics with emphasis in condensed matter or optics is required. Postdoctoral research experience and the ability to secure external funding are highly desirable. The successful candidates will be able to teach courses throughout the physics curriculum and conduct externally fundable research involving undergraduate students. Competitive start-up funds are available. Currently, there are four condensed matter experimentalists and one condensed matter theorist in the Department.
