Tenure track at Emporia State

Physics: Emporia State University Departments of Physical Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2009. The expected responsibilities include teaching introductory, general education or service courses in physics and the physical sciences, and directing ESU's Peterson Planetarium. Opportunities will also exist for participation in grant proposals, distance-learning course delivery and service activities. Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or Ed.D.) in physics education, physical science education with content background in physics or physics with demonstrated involvement in science education. A completed Ph.D. (or Ed.D.) is expected by the start date for a tenure-track appointment. Some content background in astronomy is considered desirable.
