TT at High Point University

High Point University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in experimental physics, computational physics or astronomy starting in August, 2011. A Ph.D. in physics or astronomy is required, and experience teaching undergraduates is preferred. The BS physics program at High Point University was started in August, 2010, with a focus on creative and contemporary teaching, computational physics, undergraduate research, and a commitment to mentoring. We seek a dynamic individual who will embrace these values and will contribute to the growth of the major. Department teaching responsibilities include first-year seminar courses, general education courses for non-science majors, service courses for science majors, and courses for physics majors.
