The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a teaching lecturer position in Physics and Astronomy to begin Fall 2012. We seek an individual with a commitment to quality undergraduate education and with knowledge of current effective educational practices. The position will be primarily focused on astronomy, and may include lab coordination and curriculum development in astronomy. The successful candidate should also be able to teach courses in the traditional physics curriculum. This position is renewable yearly with benefits. Applicants qualified with a Master's degree including 18 hours in Physics and/or Astronomy, or a Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy or closely related field are encouraged to apply.
