The Department of Physics at Hobart & William Smith Colleges invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level, commencing Fall 2012. We seek an experimental physicist with a genuine interest in teaching and liberal arts education, and the ability to conduct an active on-campus research program that can involve our undergraduate students. Candidates must have a doctorate in physics or a closely allied field. Any subfields within experimental physics will be considered. Candidates with both postdoctoral research experience and college-level teaching experience are preferred.
