Lecturer at the University of Vermont
The University of Vermont is the principal research institution in Vermont and is currently in a period of dynamic growth. The Department of Physics at the University of Vermont invites applications for a lecturer in physics. Applicants should have an M.S. or Ph.D. in physics and a demonstrated ability to teach physics at the University level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory physics courses and associated laboratories and recitations. Additional duties may include the organization, and administration of undergraduate laboratories. The University is interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching. Applicants are requested to include in their application information about how they would further this goal. The initial appointment starts on August 19, 2013 and is for two years with renewal possible.
