TT at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
The Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire invites applications for a probationary tenure-track faculty position in physics at the Assistant Professor level. The position will start August 19, 2013.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A PhD in physics or a closely related field (materials science, electrical engineering, etc.) is required. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and the ability to establish a research program involving undergraduates is required. The ability to bring diverse cultural and ethnic experiences and perspectives to the campus and to serve as a role model and mentor for women and/or minorities may be considered an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructional responsibilities typically include one lower division course (with labs) and one upper division course each semester. Faculty are expected to establish and maintain research programs involving undergraduate students. Advising responsibilities include advising students in our programs. Faculty members are expected to provide service through committee work and outreach activities.
