The Department of Integrated Studies in Education invites applications for two new positions at the level of
Assistant Professor in Teacher Education and Development: Pedagogy and Research. The successful
candidate will possess a PhD in education and must have an academic profile centred on practice and
research in teacher education and development, including scholarship in areas such as teacher learning,
teacher identity, teacher knowledge, teacher work, leadership and/or mentoring. It is expected that the
successful candidate will contribute to one or more of the following content areas: Arts Education,
Assessment, Child and Youth Studies, Digital Technologies, School Leadership or Science Education.
Responsibilities will include teaching and student-teaching supervision at the B.Ed. level as well as teaching and thesis supervision in our MA and PhD programs. The anticipated start date is 1 August, 2013. Experience working in schools and an ability to function in French will be assets for this position.
