Laboratory Supervisor at University of Texas at Arlington

The Department of Physics at University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for the position of Laboratory Supervisor/Coordinator. The appointee will manage operation and administration of lab; oversee equipment maintenance, and preparation of laboratory setups. Main duties include developing and implementing new experiments and instructional lab physics activities; supporting instructional programs associated with the physics laboratories; maintaining major instrumentation and equipment. The appointee will support lab section teaching activities, instruct/prepare teaching assistants, as required, train and supervise graduate teaching assistants. Minimum required qualifications are a Master’s degree in Physics or related discipline, physics laboratory experience, and experience setting-up and repairing mechanical, electrical and computer controlled equipment. Preferred qualifications are a Ph.D. degree in Physics or related disciplines, physics laboratory and teaching experience. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
