The Physical Science Department at LBCC consists of faculty
specializing in a variety of disciplines and offers courses in
chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology, and earth sciences. Courses
range from introductory classes for non-science majors through year-long
sequences in calculus-based physics. The physical science faculty
develops, plans, and presents organized lectures, laboratory activities,
and out-of-class assignments in accordance with approved course
outlines. The physical sciences faculty workload also includes student
advising, curriculum development, service on a variety of committees,
and a wide range of departmental activities that may include
non-teaching assignments such as program effectiveness coordinator and
center liaison. The position may require some evening or weekend
activities.
Requires Master's degree in Physics, or a Physical Sciences Degree with a minimum of 27 graduate quarter hours in physics related courses. Degree must be completed by July 1, 2013.
