The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University invites
applications for a tenure track faculty position in
Astronomy/Astrophysics to begin in August 2014.
The opening is at the Assistant Professor level; a more senior appointment may be possible with appropriate qualifications.
Applications in all areas of astronomy and astrophysics, from theorists and observers, are welcome.
Applicants should have a Ph.D., post-doctoral experience, and a
strong record of independent research. A successful candidate is
expected to initiate and maintain a vigorous research program and be an
effective teacher at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The new
faculty members will join the Astrophysical Institute (ApI); details of
