The Physics Department at Hamilton College seeks applicants for a tenure
track position beginning in July 2014. The successful candidate
will develop an active research program involving undergraduates, and be
comfortable teaching at the introductory and advanced levels, in
both classroom and laboratory settings. A Ph.D. degree in Physics or
closely related field is required. Preference will be given to
candidates with postdoctoral research and teaching experience as well as
to candidates whose research plans provide for undergraduate
participation. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you
would further the College's goal of building an inclusive educational
environment. Previous experience teaching or working with diverse
student populations is an asset. Information on the Physics department
may
be found at http://physerver.hamilton.edu/. Applicants should submit a c.v.,
teaching and research statements, and arrange for submission of three letters of reference to https://secure.interfolio.com/apply/22065. Questions may be directed to
Professor Ann Silversmith, asilvers@hamilton.edu. Review of materials will begin November 1,
2013.
