The Community We Serve
Chemeketa Community College is the third largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, with approximately 50,000 students enrolled from a diversity of backgrounds. Chemeketa has seven locations, Salem campus, Yamhill Valley campus, Brooks Regional Training facility, Woodburn center, Dallas center, Center for Business & Industry and Viticulture at Eola. Salary
Salary placement is subject to current contract, funding availability, experience and education. Initial salary placement would rarely extend beyond step 3; $3,236.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Science (Chemistry, A&P, or Physics) or related field with knowledge of applied mathematics and one year experience tutoring in the subject area
-OR-
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Science (Chemistry, A&P, or Physics) or related field with knowledge of applied mathematics and six months of experience tutoring in the subject area and successful completion of a nationally recognized tutor certification program (Level I or higher)
-OR-
An Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Science (Chemistry, A&P, or Physics) or related field with knowledge of applied mathematics and two years of progressively responsible instructional field-related experience, including one year experience tutoring in the subject area

Applicants must demonstrate "A" or "B" grade in Math and Science coursework.
Applicant must be able to demonstrate ability to tutor all lower-division Science courses taught by the College by the completion of the probationary period.
