UW Oshkosh is dedicated to student success and
graduates who are talented, liberally educated and technically
skilled global citizens. We are a regional center for the
celebration of knowledge, culture and community for the 1.2 million
residents of northeastern Wisconsin. The state’s third- largest
institution with more than 13,500 students and 1,700 faculty and
staff, UW Oshkosh nurtures openness, imagination, diversity and
opportunity through nationally accredited programs, quality
services and community events and partnerships.
We’re proud to provide an exceptional
education through our four professional colleges, which offer 60
undergraduate majors, 13 master’s degrees, one doctoral degree
program and more than 100 minors. UW Oshkosh has a more-than
140-year tradition of leadership and innovation, exemplified by the
September launch of our transformation of general education, the
“University Studies Program.” Our institution’s respected faculty
members have earned a host of UW System Board of Regents Teaching
Excellence Awards over the years.
A pioneer in campus sustainability, UW Oshkosh
became the first Fair Trade University in the nation in 2008. UW
Oshkosh is among 21 colleges and universities from around the
United States to earn a spot on The Princeton Review’s 2013 Green
Honor Roll and was ranked 14th in the nation in the Sierra Club and
Sierra Magazine’s annual “Coolest Schools” rankings, based on the
“greenness” of participating universities. For more institutional
