TT at Mount Holyoke
The Mount Holyoke College Physics Department (http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/physics) invites applications for a tenure-track position
to begin Fall 2014. We seek a physicist with a strong commitment to
undergraduate teaching and to the development of a vigorous, on-campus,
externally-funded research program involving undergraduates. Preference
may be given to applicants with experimental research programs and
those with research interests in the broad area of mechanics including
such interdisciplinary areas as biophysics, materials science, or
robotics. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to our growing
engineering curriculum. Excellent facilities and technical support for
research are available on campus, as well as access to a state of the
art clean room at nearby University of Massachusetts. A well
established candidate could be considered at the Associate Professor

statement of teaching experience with emphasis on approaches to teaching
at a small liberal arts college, a research plan involving

materials. A doctorate (anticipated or completed) in physics or a
