The Roxbury Latin School seeks a Science Department Head (to begin August 2015) with significant teaching experience in both advanced and introductory courses, as well as an advanced degree in biology, chemistry, physics, or engineering. The successful candidate may also be named Charles T. Bauer Professor of Science. In addition to teaching, all faculty members at Roxbury Latin are involved in two seasons of coaching a team sport or the equivalent in advising an extracurricular activity. There are openings for coaches of lacrosse, football, baseball, basketball, soccer, track and field, and wrestling on both varsity and lower level teams. Extracurricular activities include drama, publications, debate and model UN, and community service. Each faculty member also serves as an advisor to several students.
