| Position Summary |
Incarnate Word HS is an all girls Catholic college preparatory program. The successful candidate will teach up to six classes of science (physics) and upper level mathematics.

| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
Strong background in physics and mathematics. Knowledge of robotics Strong technology skills including use of interactive teaching devices. Ability and desire to work with adolescents. Flexible. Strong background in assisting students with differing learning styles.

| Required Education |
B.S. in Mathematics with Minor or secondary concentration in Physics or B.S. in Composite Science or Physics.

| Required Work Experience |
1 year high school teaching experience

| Preferred Qualifications |
Masters Degree in Physics with minor in mathematics or vice versa. 5 years teaching experience. Texas Teacher Certification. Previous experience with robotics
|
| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
Texas Teacher Certification or plan for completion of certification within two years.

| Work Hours |
7:45 am-3:45 pm
Some night and weekend work dependent on student activity sponsorship.

Job Duties
| Description of Job Duty |
Effectively teach up to six classes of the assigned courses.
Serve as an advisor to 15-20 students. Sponsor a club, activity or sport. Perform lunch duty or other duties as assigned. Assist with Open Houses, Tours etc. as a representative of the math/science departments as requested. Attend after school faculty meetings, overnight retreats, evening and weekend events as requested. |
