The Department of Physics at Hendrix College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2015. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in physics or a closely-related field at the time the appointment begins. The ideal candidate will be able to teach at both the introductory level, such as General Physics, and at the more advanced level, such as Quantum Mechanics.
Applications should include a cover letter addressing the candidate’s interest in teaching in a demanding liberal arts environment, a curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and transcripts of all graduate and undergraduate work.
