Description: The STEM Transformation Institute and the Physics Education Research Group at Florida International University, in collaboration with the American Physical Society (APS) Bridge Program, seek a postdoctoral researcher in physics education, graduate education, or a closely related field. The position starts in Spring 2016 and is particularly designated for work on an ongoing NSF-funded research project (the APS Bridge Program) involving survey development and deployment, interview and other qualitative research on graduate students (including periodic travel to APS Bridge Sites), analysis of primary and secondary data sources, and dissemination activities within the APS and the broader PER/graduate education communities. The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include coordination and participation in all aspects of the APS Bridge Program's research activities including presenting/publishing findings. Eligibility: Applicants will be expected to hold a PhD in traditional physics with significant experience in education research or a PhD in physics education (and strong content background in physics). Exposure to research in graduate/higher education is preferred.
