Nine-month, tenure-track appointment. Rank: Assistant Professor. Ph.D. in the discipline required. Starting date August 2016.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in the field, along with a commitment to undergraduate teaching, creating or maintaining an appropriate research program that would meaningfully involve undergraduate students, and a willingness to support the mission of Mount Marty College. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach qualified Physics I and II (algebra based and/or calculus-based), courses in mathematics, and a non-majors physical science course (such as Astronomy, Geology, Earth Science, or Environmental Science). Preference will be given to individuals with a background in physical chemistry, as the successful candidate may be required to teach an Introductory Chemistry course and a course in Physical Chemistry on occasion.
