International Faculty Positions in Science Education,

Seoul National University, Korea

Seoul National University (SNU) invites applications for two full-time, open rank, and tenure track faculty positions in ‘Informal Science Education’ and ‘College Science Teaching’ areas, respectively. Applicant review for each position will begin 09.30. 2008 and continue until the position is filled.

Qualifications

- Doctoral degree in science education or in near fields by August 2008

- Excellent competence in oral and written English

- Publications commensurate with rank

- Excellent teaching credentials

- Citizenship other than that of the Republic of Korea

*International faculty recruitment is intended for scholars who are non-Korean citizens.

- Faculty: 20 faculty members with science (physics/chemistry/biology/earth science) education and science background

- Research Area: teaching and learning, curriculum & assessment, ICT & MBL, conceptions & mental model, science teacher education, informal science education, gifted education in science, college-level science teaching, etc.
