Two VAP at Whitman College

Whitman College invites applications for two one-year sabbatical replacement positions at the rank of assistant professor. Effective August, 2010. Ph.D. in Physics, or a closely related field, is required. Teaching experience preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate Physics lecture and laboratory courses at both lower and upper levels.

Materials should include a letter of application; curriculum vitae; a statement addressing the candidate's teaching interests and scholarly agenda; three letters of reference; graduate transcripts; teaching evaluations or other evidence of demonstrated or potential excellence in undergraduate instruction.
