1-Year Assistant Professor, Utica College NY

Assistant Professor of Physics- 1 year


Utica College, a small comprehensive college in Upstate New York, is seeking applications for a

non-tenure-track, one-year, faculty position in the Physics Department to begin August 2021 and

will continue through the Spring 2022 semester. The candidate will teach introductory Physics

courses and associated laboratories, although other courses may be taught depending on

experience.  We strongly encourage candidates from historically underrepresented groups in

Physics to apply. The department is seeking a candidate with a minimum M.S. degree in Physics

or closely related field but a PhD is preferred. Experience teaching introductory physics is

required, and experience with research-based instructional strategies is preferred.  Strong

candidates without teaching experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
