The Physics Program of Lynchburg College invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August, 2012. A doctoral degree in Physics or related field is required; post doctoral experience (research and/or teaching) is a plus.
We seek a dynamic experimental physicist who can teach all levels of the undergraduate physics curriculum. Candidate will have the opportunity to develop upper-level laboratory courses that will complement our existing physics major. Although effective teaching is primary, the successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability to involve undergraduates in a research program. We are looking for someone interested in creating a strong experimental presence in our physics program.
