The Physics Department at Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for a one-year Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2012 with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate introductory and upper-level lecture and laboratory courses, including courses serving science and engineering majors as well as courses satisfying general education requirements for non-science students. The teaching responsibilities will total approximately 12 contact hours per semester. A strong preference will be shown for candidates who can demonstrate teaching experience in undergraduate lectures, labs and/or recitations and who have experience in engaging undergraduate students in research.
