VAP [and future TT search], Physics for Bio and Chem, Newman Univ, Wichita KS

Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, a higher education institution of academic excellence since 1933, is an environment rooted in Judeo-Christian principles and founded on the Catholic tradition of its sponsor, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, and of our namesake, the Catholic theologian and educator John Henry Cardinal Newman.

Newman University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics for a 9 month appointment beginning Fall 2014. In Fall 2014 a search for a tenure-track appointment will commence and the successful candidate in this search will be encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities for the tenure track position will include Physical Chemistry and participation in the Liberal Arts curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Visiting Assistant Professor will teach Physics (and the corresponding labs) for Biology and Chemistry majors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred - Ph.D. in either Physics or Physical Chemistry and a strong interest in teaching and mentoring students.
