The Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Physics with an emphasis in computational physics. The Department has nine faculty members, and offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computational Physics, Health Physics, Industrial Engineering, and a collateral in Astronomy. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Physics and teaching experience
Start Date: August 2014
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach 9-12 hours of physics, computational physics or physical science lectures and labs each semester and will conduct physics research and involve undergraduates in research projects.
Professional Development: Francis Marion provides generous support for conference travel when presenting. Summer research stipends are available on a competitive basis.
