TT at Bryn Mawr College

The Department of Physics at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2015. We seek an outstanding candidate with a Ph.D. in physics and postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate will contribute to a program that combines teaching courses, seminars and laboratories at all levels with independently defined, externally funded research in collaboration with both undergraduate and graduate students. At present, the physics department has experimental research programs in chemical physics, atomic and molecular physics, and nanomaterials and spintronics, as well as a theoretical program in high-energy physics. Applicants in all fields of experimental physics, including applied physics, and astrophysics, that complement the existing research areas of the department are encouraged to apply. Ongoing collaborations exist with colleagues in other departments, at neighboring institutions and with institutions across the country and internationally.

Please submit as single pdf documents a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy and interests, and a research plan, including a start-up budget and a description of how undergraduate and graduate students can be involved in the research to the Physics Department Search Committee via Interfolio at: http://apply.interfolio.com/25197. In addition, arrange for three letters of reference to be submitted via Interfolio to the Physics Department Search Committee.
